UNCASVILLE, CONN. – May 29, 2018 – An incredible mix of classic, new and custom Ford vehicles will be a key part of the 3rd Annual Barrett-Jackson Northeast Auction, June 20-23, 2018, at Mohegan Sun in Connecticut, including a professionally-built custom ’60 Ford Starliner (Lot #750) nicknamed “May Cause Dangerous.” Representing the smallest production run of any Shelby version Mustang available through a Ford dealer, one of only 100 built ’08 Barrett-Jackson Edition Shelby Mustang GTs (Lot #398) will also cross the block at Mohegan Sun.
“Ford Motor Company has been a big part of the Barrett-Jackson family for many years,” said Craig Jackson, chairman and CEO of Barrett-Jackson. “Earlier this year in Scottsdale we teamed up to sell the first current-generation Ford GT ever available at public auction, which brought in $2.55 million for charity. We also hosted film star Chad McQueen for the charity sale of the 2019 Ford Mustang Bullitt VIN 001. Ford will continue to rev up the excitement during our Northeast Auction with the Ride ’N Drives, an interactive exhibit and an impressive display of their latest lineup of vehicles. We’re proud to have Ford as an important part of our collector car auction, and the many automotive lifestyle events and activities for fans to experience throughout the event.”
Ford Mustangs, including Shelby versions of the famous Pony car, will be well-represented during the Northeast Auction. A ’70 Shelby GT500 (Lot #656) is the last model year of the first-generation Shelby Mustangs and is one of 42 with its paint and trim codes and the 3.91 Drag Pack package. It has only 78,500 original miles and features the original, rebuilt XHD suspension and engine.
“We have an enviable docket of Ford vehicles lining up for the Northeast Auction,” said Steve Davis, president of Barrett-Jackson. “Ford has continued to innovate and evolve its vehicles since Henry Ford first introduced the Model A over a century ago. There’s a deep passion for Ford-powered vehicles among performance enthusiasts and collectors around the world. We’re proud to have such a broad mix of these Blue Oval cars coming to our Northeast Auction.”
Other Ford-powered vehicles crossing the Northeast auction block include a ’70 Ford Torino Cobra Sportsroof (Lot #631) that has undergone a high-quality restoration.
